At Stork brothers yarns are produced with a count range of 0.6Nm to 14Nm, in single and folded. The twisted yarn is supplied on a 10 inch traverse cone, single yarn is supplied on a 8 inch traverse cone. The weight or base size of both can be specified.

DONEGAL YARNS
Specialist machinery enables production of Donegal nepp yarns for knitting or weaving. These can be made in a variety of counts and colours, either from standard shade cards or to match specific design/samples. As well as variations on classic Donegal colours the collection of yarns offered includes a variety of qualities, from cross-bred types to lambswool and cashmere.
UPHOLSTERY
The use of inherent fibres enables the production of yarns that meet CRIB 5 flame retardancy standard. These are spun into the yarn and are resistant to washing and abrasion.
Upholstery yarns are offered in a variety of counts and compositions suitable for weaving into fabrics suited to a wide range of end-uses. Examples are single yarns for use in yarn screens for open plan offices, folded yarns for seating fabrics and ceiling tiles.
SPECIALLIST
Examples of specialist yarns are;
• Anti-static wrapping, a process that adds to yarns a binder that dissipates static when woven into flat fabric, end uses for the fabric include chair coverings for gun powder factories, airline seating, component manufacturers, etc.
• White yarns that are space dyed with up to five colours of the customer's choice.
KNITTING
As well as the Donegal yarns for knitting the range includes yarns with distinctive compositions such as the addition of silk and angora fibres.
INDUSTRIAL
Stork Brothers Ltd offers a range of industrial yarns with special properties. Examples are:
• 100% Nylon with a nylon binder giving woven fabric super strength, suitable for filtration of high volume foodstuffs, liquids, etc.
• 100% Polyester yarns used in aircraft panelling, hospital cellular blankets, etc.
